My lessons are structured, engaging, and designed to build both confidence and independence in mathematics. With 18 years of teaching experience across the UK, the Philippines, and international settings, I have a strong understanding of different education systems and curriculum expectations. This enables me to adapt my teaching to students from diverse educational backgrounds while ensuring they meet their academic goals.

I specialise in Key Stage 3 Mathematics and GCSE Foundation Maths, helping students strengthen core numeracy skills, close knowledge gaps, and develop effective problem-solving strategies. Each lesson follows a clear learning sequence:

Retrieval Practice to revisit prior learning and strengthen memory.
I Do: I model new concepts and methods using clear explanations and worked examples.
We Do: Guided practice where we solve problems together and address misconceptions.
You Do: Students independently apply their learning with targeted support where needed.
Independent Practice and Review: Consolidation tasks to build fluency and confidence.

Throughout the lesson, I use stretch and challenge questioning to deepen understanding, encourage mathematical reasoning, and develop critical thinking skills rather than simply memorising procedures.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and highly interactive. I believe every student can succeed in mathematics when concepts are broken down into manageable steps and linked to prior knowledge. Lessons are tailored to each learner's needs, whether they require intervention support, exam preparation, confidence building, or extension beyond their current level.

As an experienced classroom teacher and educational practitioner, I focus not only on improving grades but also on helping students become independent, resilient learners who feel confident tackling mathematical challenges.
