In my 1 hour lessons, I would cover whichever areas the student feels they need most help with within the exam — whether that's writing about non-fiction texts and poetry and prose texts from the anthology, transactional writing, imaginative writing, or just working on all of them! I would also provide the student with advice on what to work on in between lessons, as a large part of preparing for English is to practise writing regularly. During the 1 hour lessons, I would then provide guidance on how to improve your answers, as well as helping in the dissection of poems and prose texts, advising how to structure your essays and transactional writing, and helping you create your own resources and structure your revision that best benefits you.
