I provide 1:1 1h sessions covering content that is requested by the student at least 48h before the agreed lesson date. I am able to cover any aspects of the Edexcel GCSE lower tier specification. The sessions will be delivered through the Zoom App, and the only materials I suggest having for the session are your general maths equipment such as general note-taking equipment + a calculator/ruler/protractor/compass etc.. I will share my screen and we will go through worksheets/powerpoints/whatever is deemed appropriate for the content of the session. A general lesson structure is outlined below, but can definitely be altered to suit individual needs and/or preferences:

1) Covering specified content
2) Going through a few example questions together to demonstrate application
3) Setting independent questions to attempt
4) Going through the questions and clearing any potential doubts
5) Exam-style/past paper questions
6) Further questions/top tips to help in exams relevant to the specific content depending on amount of time left

I aim to make learning maths an experience that is also fun alongside helpful in understanding the content through the interactivity of sessions alongside breaking down complex concepts in to simpler chunks. Tailoring my teaching style to the needs of each pupil (learnt through volunteering for a year at a tutoring centre) also allows me to deeply engage the student and ensure that they are properly understanding the content. As a current sixth form student myself, I hope to provide a comfortable and relatable atmosphere in which students feel confident in expressing their needs.
