I have studied Mathematics at both GCSE and A-levels, achieving grades 8 and A* respectfully. After my A-levels, I worked and still work at an Ofsted-rated Secondary School in East London as a maths mentor where I tutor year 11 students, preparing them for their final exams. During my private tutoring lessons, I will begin by briefly going over any assigned homework or questions that the student has about the previous week's topics in order to solidify their understanding of particular mathematical concepts. I will then begin teaching a new topic, we will go over a range of questions from basic to advanced, covering possible exam questions as well. I will end our lesson by assigning homework for the student to complete for our next lesson so that the student does not forget what had been taught. In addition, students are free to message me throughout the week if they ever get stuck on a maths question or need help with their homework. I want to be a supportive tutor, not just in our private lessons, but outside as well. In the weeks leading up to in-school mock exams and final exams, I will be going through numerous past exam papers with students so that my students are confident about achieving the highest possible grades in their GCSE exams. I will be holding lessons online and in-person, but in-person lessons are only available for those who live within Tower Hamlets. With my private lessons, I want all my students to achieve grade 9/8s in their GCSEs and I will do my very best to make that possible.
