Ani Manukyan

My name is Ani Manukyan. I am Armenian and currently reside in Canada.

I hold a Master’s degree in Oriental Studies with a specialization in the Arabic language. As part of my academic training, I studied Arabic for one academic year in the Syrian Arab Republic and graduated from the Institute for Foreigners Studying Arabic in Damascus.

My professional experience includes translation, interpretation, and teaching. I worked for three years at the Embassy of Iraq and collaborated with the United Nations office in Armenia, providing both oral interpretation and written translation services for refugees.

From 2004 to 2012, I served as a Lecturer of Arabic Language at Yerevan State University, teaching Arabic to university students. During this time, I also provided private Russian language courses for Arabic-speaking learners who wished to study Russian.

From 2012 to 2022, I worked as a translator at the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Armenia. Since 2012, I have also been working as a private online Arabic tutor, teaching students from beginner to advanced levels.

In addition to teaching, I am the author of several articles on Classical Arabic and a methodological book designed to help intermediate-level students improve their Arabic proficiency in a short period of time.
