In a lesson with me, you can expect a variety of teaching methods, including flash cards, practice questions and mnemonics. We will discuss the areas you find most difficult/confusing and work through these until you feel confident about the subject material. I think lessons are much more effective when treated as a collaborative effort, so rather than simply talking at the student and overloading them with information, I encourage the student to ask questions and propose methods they think would help them learn.

I was a mentor at secondary school, which involved helping younger students with their work when needed, and I also have experience as a teaching assistant, meaning I have lots of experience working with students.
