Before planning lessons, I will use the first session to chat with the student to make sure we are on the same page, that we feel comfortable working together and to discuss the students goals and intentions. After the 1st session I will then plan the lesson - taking into consideration any needs the student may have (neurodivergent, learning challenges, and so forth). In the introductory session I will also ask the student how they like to lers and I will then plan the lessons accordingly. I will also ask the student what their personal areas of interests and hobbies are so that I can incorporate that into the learning, where applicable. My lessons will be interactive , interesting and fun - I prefer to work more collaboratively with students and will frequently check in with them that the learning is happening at a pace that they are happy with and in a way that they are comfortable with. I do require that my students take full personal responsibility for their learning, that they do their homework in between sessions and are actively engaging in the sessions - it's such a pleasure to work with a student who is eager to learn and the student will find it much more rewarding when they are committed to their own progress. I am warm, bubble and personal - I also take my responsibility very seriously and will do my utmost to prepare engaging sessions for my student, so that learning is a joy and a pleasure for them
