My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I usually begin by identifying the topics the student feels least confident in, before breaking them down into clear, manageable steps and checking their understanding throughout the lesson.
For GCSE Biology, I focus on helping students understand the underlying concepts rather than simply memorising content. I use diagrams, worked examples, recall questions, and exam-style practice to reinforce key topics and improve confidence with applying knowledge to unfamiliar questions.
For A-level and GCSE History, I place a strong emphasis on both subject knowledge and exam technique. I help students improve essay structure, source analysis, argument development, and the use of evidence, while also making sure they have a secure understanding of the relevant content.
I have previous experience tutoring both Biology and History during sixth form, as well as providing one-to-one History tutoring to my younger sister, who went on to achieve an A* at GCSE. I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at UCL and am predicted a First-Class degree, which has further strengthened my scientific knowledge and ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
My aim is to create a supportive lesson environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. I adapt the pace and style of each lesson depending on the student, and I can also focus sessions around upcoming exams, specific weak areas, past papers, or revision strategies.
I also encourage students to develop independent study habits and revision techniques they can continue using confidently outside our lessons.
