About My Lessons
- 100% Online Lessons
- Full Remote Flexibility: All lessons are taught completely online using interactive digital whiteboards and video.
- Schedule: As I am currently studying at university, I will be tutoring exclusively online, and prefer fixed, reliable hours.
The Lesson Format & Specialisms
- GCSE Biology & Chemistry: I specialise in these subjects, as I have advanced medical science background. I also have a previous Biomedical Science Degree (1st Class w Hons).
- AQA Specification Focus: My tutoring experience strongly focuses on the AQA spec, ensuring we target exactly what examiners want.
- Meeting Learning Objectives: I like to review student confidence levels against specification to come up with focused learning objectives for sessions so we can make clear progress in high yield areas.
- Exam-Ready Practice: I like to heavily target exam techniques, trick questions, and real past paper mark schemes to maximise exam performance.
Content and Lesson
- Dynamic + Collaborative Approach: We work as a team to identify strengths and weaknesses. We will solve tough problems, sketch out diagrams, and discuss complex answers together.
- Step-by-Step Breakdown: High-yield topics like cellular respiration, organic chemistry, or chemical equations are broken down into simple, bite-sized steps.
- Interactive Tools: We will use quizzes, student school materials (if preferred), AQA revision materials + past papers to keep subject material relevant and varied.
Supportive Learning Environment & SEN Experience
- SEN Experience: I have direct experience supporting students with a wide range of different Special Educational Needs (SEN), + adapting my teaching style to fit unique learning styles. I am happy to accommodate any appropriate learning support measures in order to facilitate focus and learning (I.e. mini rest breaks during sessions).
- Safe to Make Mistakes: The environment is patient, encouraging, and designed to build core confidence without any high-stress pressure.
- Positive Attitude: I focus on fostering a kind, supportive atmosphere where students feel respected and safe to ask questions.
