I am a native Spanish speaker with a 10+ experience in the classroom, here in Colombia, delivering high quality programs to students of all ages and different backgrounds. For the last 10 years, I have worked more intensively with middle school grades (6th, 7th and 8th) but I am also experienced teaching younger-aged children in elementary school and even adults. I truly think that all students deserve a teacher who genuinely believes in them, and really cares. My students are, and will always be my first priority. Connecting through cultural exchanges is always my first goal. I believe that connecting professionally with the students is as easy as using humor and keeping the class light-hearted. They will always be more willing to learn if there is a good chemistry with the teacher and that generally happens when teachers honestly do their best in all aspects of education. It is crucial to create a proper learning atmosphere where the students can express themselves showing respect and can prepare themselves to face the challenges of tomorrow.
For the last 14 years, I have worked for ministry of Education in Colombia and some universities and language institutions. By working for these companies, I have learned and polished upon the essential qualities that this job requires: planning, and delivering adequate curriculum, demonstrated professionalism, excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
Along with my skills, I will bring a creative and positive energy to the school district, as I am an extremely motivated individual who loves teaching involving technology and is thrilled to work with others to achieve a common goal.
