Hello there, my name is Andrea Paola and I like to refer to myself as Paola. My background as an English teacher includes a master's degree in Neuropsychology and Education. I have been teaching for 10 years. My experience includes teaching English for 3 years in a school, then spent other 3 teaching in universities, and almost 9 years in a language institutes. During my most recent position as an elementary teacher, I taught all of the common core subjects (ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science), as well as Spanish. I was a volunteer who taught English to Latin-American communities and Spanish to American ones. My approach to teaching involves starting with a song to improve your listening skills and then incorporating TPR to allow students to experiment with their knowledge. Begin by explaining and practicing through songs and / or interactive PowerPoint presentations, and then move on to games where students can review and practice their newly acquired knowledge. And conclude by performing an activity where they can demonstrate their proficiency on the taught subject matter.
