My lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to each student's needs. Having taught students from Year 3 through to A-Level, I understand that every learner progresses differently, so I adapt my teaching style, pace, and lesson content to suit each student's goals, strengths, and areas for improvement.
I specialise in Mathematics at all levels, Economics at O- and A-Level, English Language, and Verbal Reasoning for younger students. Verbal Reasoning helps children develop critical and logical reasoning, problem-solving, and comprehension skills that support success across a wide range of subjects. My lessons focus on building a deep understanding of core concepts rather than relying solely on memorisation. I believe that once students understand the reasoning behind a topic, they become more confident, independent learners and are better equipped to tackle unfamiliar questions.
Having studied Mathematics and Economics at both O- and A-Levels, as well as IGCSE English Language and English Literature, I have a strong foundation in the subjects I teach and a thorough understanding of examination requirements. This enables me to explain concepts from multiple perspectives, identify common areas of difficulty, and provide students with effective strategies to understand content and achieve strong exam performance.
A typical lesson begins with a review of previous material and an identification of any areas of difficulty. I then introduce new concepts through clear explanations, worked examples, and interactive discussion, before guiding students through practice questions. Throughout the lesson, I encourage students to ask questions and explain their thought processes, which helps to strengthen both their understanding and analytical skills.
As an International Political Economy student at City, University of London, I bring strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills to my teaching. My academic background in economics, data analysis, and structured problem-solving enables me to break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps.
My aim is to cultivate curiosity, encourage independent thinking, and equip students with the academic skills and study habits needed for long-term success, both inside and outside the classroom. I strive to create a supportive learning environment in which students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and developing a genuine understanding of the subjects they study.
