With my students I use games to make them comfortable and less stressed, I also read a lot for them to familiarise with the french vocabulary and then listen to some videos for pronunciation.
But remember every student is different and learn differently. So I mainly pay attention to each one of my students to know which method suits them best. So it’ll be easier for them to upgrade their level in french. One thing I always say is… don’t teach for the sake of teaching or for the money, at the end of the day people want to learn and practice it outside these lessons so it’s important you take your time and pay attention to details as it is key! And it equals to results.
