Ana Sofía Orellana Palomeque

Hello! My name is Ana Orellana and I'm from Honduras, the heart of Central America and a Spanish-speaking country. With my experience in teaching young learners from vulnerable communities and collaborating with civil society organizations, I aim to help students build confidence, strengthen all areas of language proficiency, and develop a deeper appreciation for the Spanish language and culture. My approach combines structured learning with creativity and cultural awareness, encouraging students to express themselves fluently while experiencing the richness, passion, and energy that make Spanish unique.

My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s level. I begin with a short warm-up or conversation to practice speaking and listening, often reviewing content from previous lessons to reinforce learning.

I focus on Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure through clear explanations and interactive exercises. Reading and writing skills are strengthened using texts, poetry, and literature excerpts, helping students develop comprehension and expressive abilities. To make lessons dynamic and enjoyable, I incorporate creative activities such as role-playing, discussions, and language games inspired by cultural and literary topics. Personalized feedback is provided throughout, and assignments or exercises are suggested to practice between sessions, along with additional resources and recommendations for further practice.
