My methods focus on interaction and active practice, encouraging student participation in conversational activities, debates, role-plays and collaborative projects. In addition, authentic use of language in real-life situations is emphasized, such as through reading literary and journalistic texts, essay writing, and oral presentation.

As a social studies and Spanish teacher, I have found that the integration of both fields provides an enriching perspective for students. I use authentic resources and materials related to the social sciences, such as news articles, historical documents, and films, to promote understanding and critical analysis of the world around us. I also incorporate debates and discussions based on social and cultural issues, encouraging students to express their opinions and develop argumentation skills in Spanish. In addition, I focus on the development of writing skills, providing constructive feedback and opportunities to improve essay and academic writing. Through my teaching experience, I have seen how these active and contextualized approaches allow students to engage more deeply with Spanish and the social sciences, improving their linguistic competence and their understanding of the topics studied.

In my experience teaching social studies and Spanish, I have found that the integration of the two fields offers a valuable interdisciplinary perspective. By teaching social studies in Spanish, students have the opportunity to improve their language skills while exploring topics related to history, geography, politics and culture. I use authentic resources, such as historical documents, maps, images, and videos, to enrich classes and foster student understanding.

In addition, I harness the power of debate and class discussion to engage students in critical analysis of social and cultural issues. I encourage them to express their opinions, argue and debate in Spanish, which not only improves their communication skills, but also develops their critical thinking and ability to understand different perspectives.

In short, my best Spanish teaching methods combine communicative approaches, interactive activities, authentic reading and effective writing. My teaching experience in teaching social studies and Spanish has shown that these active and contextualized approaches allow students to engage in learning, develop strong language skills, and better understand social studies topics.
