Ana-Iulia Moglan

I am a qualified Secondary Science Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE in Secondary Science from the United Kingdom. I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Medical Biology, which has given me a strong academic foundation in human biology, anatomy, physiology, genetics, microbiology and scientific investigation. Before becoming a teacher, I also completed clinical training and hospital placements as a Physician Associate trainee, which strengthened my practical understanding of medical and biological science.

I have been tutoring since 2022 and have experience supporting students in GCSE and IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as A Level Biology. I am familiar with the AQA and Cambridge International curricula and have classroom experience teaching Science across KS3, KS4 and A Level in UK secondary schools.

My lessons are structured, interactive and adapted to each student’s needs. At the beginning of our work together, I identify the student’s strengths, areas for improvement and academic goals. I then create targeted lessons that combine clear explanations, diagrams, retrieval practice and exam-style questions.

I break difficult scientific concepts into manageable steps and regularly check understanding throughout the lesson. I also teach students how to interpret command words, structure longer answers and apply mark schemes effectively. Lessons may include guided practice, past-paper questions, quizzes and personalised feedback.

My aim is to help students improve their subject knowledge, examination technique and confidence. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing into more independent learners.
