I like to use interactive lessons which are broken up into manageable chunks of information. It is important that lessons are engaging and pupil-led. I use PowerPoint, which can be downloaded and adapted to suit different learning styles. I am extremely experienced and have worked in state, private and sixth form education and have taught across all age ranges. My pupils have a proven record of performing very well in examinations and I feel that this is partly due to support provided to them during lessons in school time and extra lessons that are provided as and when they are needed. I am also an examiner for Edexcel GCSE history and I am a very experienced examiner with this board. I have examined both the iGCSE and GCSE history paper since I qualified in 2007. I have, however, also taught OCR, SHP, Edexcel iGCSE, WJEC and AQA history as well as A level history with OCR, Edexcel and AQA. I have taught many different topic areas- ranging from the medieval period and King John all the way through to African American Civil Rights and the end of the Cold War. I am dedicated to ensuring that your educational journey is a positive one and that you achieve your very best. I go above and beyond for my pupils and care very much about you achieving exactly what you want to achieve. I have provided private tutoring in the past and also have experience in working with smaller groups of pupils.
