My lessons are tailored to each student and are designed to be engaging, supportive, and academically rigorous. Sessions can take place online using Zoom and PowerPoint, and I am always happy to prepare bespoke materials based on your interests, exam board, or areas that need extra focus.
I aim to create memorable lessons that bring the subject to life, helping students feel confident using what we cover in revision and assessments. Depending on your needs, lessons may include guided discussion, close analysis of key topics, exam-style practice, or structured support with coursework.
I am happy to create flashcards, quizzes, and revision resources, and to spend time exploring second-order concepts and key terms in more depth. We can also take a wider view of your work by comparing topics across different periods, places, or perspectives, helping you develop stronger analytical and evaluative skills.
Alongside subject knowledge, I place a strong emphasis on study and learning skills. Developing confidence with revision strategies, essay planning, and independent learning can have a positive impact across all subjects, not just this one. Where helpful, I also like to incorporate ICT and digital tools to add nuance and variety to lessons.
