As an IB educator, my approach to teaching is student-centered, inquiry-based, and concept-driven, to ensure that learners develop a deep understanding of scientific principles and concepts while I cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. So as to meet the IB’s holistic learning goals, I integrate TOK-style questioning, Interdisciplinary connections and IB Learner Profile attributes. In IA and EE preparation, I focus on these command terms,( discuss, analyse, and evaluate to make ensure the students have mastered them and also be able to formulate research questions, design controlled experiments, analyse data, and improve on their scientific writing skills. My online interaction with learners will be visually engaging, student-driven, by incorporating live quizzes, case studies, and collaborative discussions and personalised learning to adapt student learning pace, strengths, and challenges.
I stand out as exceptional IB educator because I have the expertise on IBDP and IBMYP Biology and I use differentiated instructions to meet the different learning needs of my learners. I also provide supportive and motivating classroom environment where students feel encouraged to challenge themselves, make mistakes, and grow.
