Amna Amin

A final year Biomed student and incoming Secondary School Teacher in September, 2026! I have 4 years of continuous experience teaching at a tuition centre, and I am strongly competent in tailoring my teaching towards individual learning styles to maximise potential. My lessons are always pre-planned, based off the student's current weaknesses to ensure the lessons are of excellent quality. I primarily teach both English Literature/Language, as I deeply enjoy the subject and my lessons aim to cultivate the same passion and aptitude in my students! I achieved A* in both English Language and Literature at GCSE, and a grade A at A-Level.

I am highly skilled in raising attainment, as most of my students meet or exceed their target grades and I aim to continue teaching as a future secondary school teacher this year. When teaching English, I teach students how to structure their writing to best address the question posed and perfect their writing style. Most importantly, I help my students develop the ability to analyse texts and language deeply to articulate strong ideas in their writing for high marks (A-A** level).

My students often see me as a kind and approachable tutor, as I create a friendly environment for students to feel comfortable to converse and share their ideas or concerns. I set regular homework, provide detailed feedback and constantly review and check progress. Due to my friendly persona and well-planned customised lessons, my students usually excel quickly.
