Hi, my name is Amelie and I have been dancing since 5 years old, beginning my training in competitive rhythmic gymnastics until 11, then transitioning to Jazz and Street Dance. At 13 I discovered Modern Dance, Commercial and Contemporary Dance! Since then Commercial and Contemporary dance has become my favourite styles to explore. I now study Dance as a BA at university, and am part of our dance society, that competes from January to April! In university we study Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Caribbean, and Indian Classical Dance, Jazz and commercial.
I am a positive, extroverted and enthusiastic person, who loves to share her skills with others, and believing that helping other people is key in becoming a well rounded dancer and member of society. I am patient and understanding, as I’m always aware of other peoples strengths, which might make a session so different, requiring me to adapt in the moment.
Beside my Dance BA studies, I am a part time dance teacher for kids aged 4-9, and have taught children from 3-17 since college. I have taught full 2 hour sessions, as well as 45 min Workshop where I teach around a minute of choreography, entailing learning the movement, going over the details helping 1-1 and making it your own!
I hope to be the person you choose to help when it comes to anything dance!
