Hello, I'm Amara, a certified mindfulness teacher, consultant and an accredited English language teacher and trainer. The root of my work is helping individuals learn and grow in themselves, be it speaking a new language with confidence or the most effective approaches for lingering stress, all with measurable results that improve relationships, work life, and overall quality of life.
As a language teacher and trainer, I have worked with individuals from levels B1 - C2 to support their journey to fluency and confidence while speaking English. I am a born and raised Londoner with a neutral accent which many of my students find easy to understand and learn from. The sessions can range from anywhere between Business or Conversational English, to writing a professional email with ease. My classes are 1-1 and tailored to each learner's style, interests, professional goals and capacity for growth. Expect plenty of real-world materials and challenges to help you speak confidently and translate your personality into English.
As a mindfulness teacher, my sessions are focused on facilitating safe space to address and close stress cycles mindfully. In my career in mindfulness I have led mindfulness sessions through journalling and meditation workshops for large and intimate groups with international attendees and I have consulted with individuals from all walks of life to better understand how mindfulness and being present can improve our quality of life. We'll work together to learn how to manage anything from mild to chronic stress in the workplace or at home. I can support individuals with creating a stress management plan, adjusting lifestyle habits to incorporate more ease, and assisting with breath work and meditation. Each session is tailored to individual and immediate needs as well as long-term planning for sustainable practices.
