Hello, I’m Amani.

I am a fourth-year medical student with over six years of tutoring experience, dedicated to helping students achieve academic excellence while building confidence in their abilities. I provide a supportive and structured learning environment in which students feel comfortable engaging with challenging material and developing their understanding.

My teaching approach is highly individualised. I take the time to assess each student’s strengths, areas for development, and preferred learning style, allowing me to tailor each session to maximise progress and engagement. I do not view ability as fixed; with the right guidance and approach, every student has the potential to improve significantly.

Sessions are carefully designed around three core principles: establishing a strong foundation of knowledge, reinforcing understanding through active consolidation, and developing effective exam technique. This ensures that students are not only well-prepared in terms of content, but are also equipped to apply their knowledge confidently and efficiently in examinations. In addition, I offer guidance on revision strategies, time management, and approaching different question formats.

As someone with ADHD, I bring an informed and adaptable perspective to my teaching. I recognise that focus and engagement can vary between students, and I incorporate a range of structured yet flexible techniques to maintain attention and optimise learning. This may include targeted practice, step-by-step explanations, visual methods, and other tailored approaches depending on the student’s needs.

I am patient, attentive, and committed to delivering high-quality tuition that leads to measurable progress. I work particularly well with students who are motivated to improve and who value a structured, supportive, and results-oriented approach.
