As an experienced secondary science teacher I am very experienced in tailoring my style to my students needs. I try to use every day analogies to get key science concepts across, to aid understanding and then build upon this foundation. I like to practice exam technique and do lots of practice questions, to enable students to experience a whole range of ways to answer certain questions, giving them confidence in exams.

As a tutor with 4 years of experience of working online, I have perfected skills in working with individual students across the various platforms, utilising videos, whiteboards and powerpoints to complete lessons.

I am experienced in teaching Biology, chemistry and physics to KS3 and KS4, both combined and triple, across multiple exam boards, as well as iGCSE. As a Biology specialist I also tutor A-Level Biology. Having also worked in further education, I am able to tutor Level 3 qualifications, such as BTEC Health and Social Care and T-Level Health.

My first lesson with a student i will always try to build a rapport with the student and determine a base line of the ability they are working at. We will work together to increase their knowledge, their ability to apply the content to the questions and hone their science skills, such as graph work, practical skills and numeracy.

Due to my work in schools, I am also trained in working with SEN students and I am skilled in adapting my approach when needed, to make sure my lessons are as inclusive as possible.
