Alvaro Calvete Peris

Hi, I'm Alvaro, a second-year BSc Business Economics student at Lancaster University, based in Lancaster. I'm a native Spanish speaker with native-level English, so I can teach Spanish clearly from the ground up, explaining grammar in English and building real conversation confidence. I also help school students with Maths up to GCSE level.

My own results at A-level (AQA) were Maths C, Economics C, Business B and Spanish B, so I know exactly what it takes to work through these courses and the exam techniques that help. I'm patient and practical: lessons are built around your goals, whether that's exam preparation, homework support, catching up on topics that didn't click, or simply speaking Spanish with more confidence.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what you've covered, then we work through worked examples and practice questions together, finishing with a short summary and clear next steps. For Spanish we mix vocabulary, grammar, listening and speaking practice using real-life situations. For Maths we focus on understanding methods step by step rather than memorising, with plenty of past-paper style practice.
