Alistair Kissack

I am an experienced educator with a passion for helping young people achieve their full potential. My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student, ensuring they feel supported, challenged, and confident in their learning. I am currently a head of year and Maths teacher in a secondary school and have lots of experience in teaching all ages to GCSE level.

Lessons are structured, engaging, and focused on building both subject knowledge and essential study skills. I begin by identifying a student's strengths and areas for development, then create personalised learning activities and targets to help them make progress. Sessions may include explanations of key concepts, guided practice, exam techniques, revision strategies, and regular feedback.

As a school-based professional, I have extensive experience working with young people of different abilities and learning styles. I understand the importance of building confidence alongside academic achievement and strive to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
