About me

I aim to let the student do the talking / writing while keeping a low profile. I encourage each and every student to find their own learning level and speed, motivated by what they want to use the new language for.

My lessons can centre about topics or interests / hobbies / life styles which can be developed stage by stage, introducing new vocabulary as the development moves forward.

Knowledge of a new language cannot be rushed but it still needs to find a mutual speed and keep that speed without thinking in one language, translating into another and hoping that the structure will be ok.
The best approach I discovered was to ask my students to write basic language, have them correct what they wrote as teaching any language should not be about 100% proof - reading and taking rules on board.

Where spelling is, English is often not helpful and three words can have the same sound but not the same meaning. I speak four or five foreign languages which I greatly value as each of them gives a wider insight as to how languages have evolved.
