Hi everyone,

My name is Alisha and I am a qualified Primary Teacher with a First Class BA (Hons) Education with Inclusion Degree who is offering one to one tutoring lessons online and in person.

During my four years at university I explored key themes such as inclusion, assessment, learning styles and curriculum development. Alongside this, I developed my knowledge and understanding of teaching modern languages within primary, resulting in a firm understanding of teaching Spanish as a second language.

I am an extremely patient, encouraging and enthusiastic educator who has a strong child centred approach to all that I do.

I am really passionate about meeting the needs of all children through focusing on differentiation and support. Individual plans will be created for each child to reach short and long term goals.

I have worked with the Curriculum for Excellence documents for the last 5 years and have experience across early, first and second level education. I therefore have a unique insight into all assessments and benchmarks.

Prior to this, I completed a two year course in Early Learning and Childhood practice, where I developed my knowledge and understanding of supporting the learning of children from birth to five within nurseries. I am therefore equipped to support young learners in settling into school life and developing foundational skills such as letter formation and number recognition.

I also have experience of supporting children with additional support needs such as dyslexia and English as an additional language. Individual packs and supports will be created to meet the needs of each different learner.
