My lessons are relaxed, practical and genuinely tailored to you. I don't do one-size-fits-all teaching. Before we start, we'll have a conversation about where you are, what you want to achieve, and what excites you creatively. From there, every session is built around your goals.
Lessons are hands-on and process-led. Whether we're working on photography composition and editing, building a mixed media piece, exploring collage and book art, printmaking techniques, or something more sculptural like paper art, you'll always be making, experimenting and reflecting on your work, not just watching or listening.
I bring 15+ years of teaching experience across secondary, sixth-form and adult education in the UK and internationally, along with a fine art and photography practice of my own. I hold a PGCE and an MA in Artist Teacher and Contemporary Practice. I understand the difference between helping a student hit a grade and helping someone genuinely fall in love with making, and I try to do both.
Online sessions are interactive and conversational. I'll guide you through demonstrations, give you focused tasks to try, and offer honest, encouraging feedback that helps you grow. Between sessions, I'll suggest resources, prompts or practical exercises to keep your momentum going.
