Alice Claussen

I have 8 years of experience in the voluntary sector; in ESOL teaching, 1-1 support and coaching. I have been working as a qualified health and wellbeing coach in the NHS for the past three years. I am highly educated with a BA and I am currently undertaking an MA and training as a psychotherapist in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

I have taught English in the UK and abroad. I am passionate about education. A good educational experience can pave the way for a life-long enthusiasm for learning, which is a key ingredient for flourishing in life. Unfortunately, sometimes students have negative learning experiences which they are not always given the space or opportunity to explore or understand. I would like to help these students to get more out of their education.

My coaching sessions are person centred ; since all students are different it is important to tailor support to individual needs. The aim of the sessions will be to help students get more insight into their motivations, strengths, obstacles and goals - to help them to find a better way forward.
