My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs, with a strong focus on study skills, exam preparation, and academic confidence. I am a private tutor with a background in psychology, experience working in education settings, and previous experience as a writing tutor.

Rather than traditional subject teaching, I focus on helping students develop the skills and strategies they need to learn effectively and perform at their best. This includes exam preparation techniques, revision planning, time management, organisation, and active learning strategies such as recall and structuring information in a meaningful way.
At the start of sessions, I take time to understand the student’s current challenges, workload, and goals. Lessons are then adapted accordingly and broken into clear, manageable steps so students feel more in control of their learning and less overwhelmed.
Alongside academic skills, I also support students with confidence, motivation, and general wellbeing around studying. Many students struggle not just with content, but with stress, focus, and feeling unsure how to approach their work, and I help them build practical tools to manage this more effectively.

I also have experience as a writing tutor, supporting students with structuring essays, improving clarity, and developing stronger academic expression.

My aim is to help students become more organised, confident, and independent in their studies, and to give them practical strategies they can use across their academic life, particularly during exam periods. I also aim to help them build sustainable study habits that reduce stress and improve consistency over time.
