I am an applied behavioural science practitioner and psychology graduate with a first-class BSc in Psychology and over nine years’ experience translating behavioural theory into real-world systems, products, and learning environments. My background combines psychology, decision-making, research methods, and technology, with a particular focus on behaviour change, cognitive bias, motivation, and how people actually act in complex environments.
Alongside my academic training, I have training as a CBT Hypnotherapist, have led and have delivered applied behavioural research across universities, non-profits, and early-stage technology companies, designing experiments, analysing behavioural data and operationalising learnings. I specialise in helping learners bridge the gap between psychological theory and real behaviour, understanding not only how mental or business models work, but when they fail, why they fail, and how to test / change them properly.
As a tutor, I take a very practical approach. I have taught psychology over the last 4 years to other students on Tutorful. I do this through applied cases, experiments, and real decision-making scenarios, covering behavioural foundations (e.g. motivation, habit formation, bias, and behaviour change), research and evaluation methods (e.g. qualitative interviewing, experimental design, signal vs noise), and modern behavioural contexts including digital systems and AI-mediated decision support. My teaching style prioritises critical thinking and practical application, which has helped to equip students to use behavioural science practically rather than superficially.
I am very well-suited to A-level, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in applied psychology, behavioural science, decision-making, research methods, and digital behaviour, and I bring a strong ability to make complex psychological concepts accessible, relevant, and grounded in real-world outcomes.
