The initial lesson will be used to gauge the requirements of any potential students. After needs and requirements have been established, we will work together to create an overarching development plan that will incorporate any specific goals of the student. Lessons will be tailored to each individual depending on preferences, but there will be a focus on creative learning and development of a critical practice. As maths can be a dry and unintuitive subject for some people, I like to take time to make sure that students have real world examples to make sense of what they are learning. Mathematic literacy is extremely important as a life skill, not just as a school subject. This approach is taken when there is more time to develop a student's wider understanding of the subject, but in cases where deadlines are looming, and improvements are need quickly, I can create rigorous study programmes that can accelerate competency with target areas.
