I am an experienced English and History tutor with a BA in English from King’s College London and over two years of experience supporting GCSE and A-Level students. I specialise in helping students improve their confidence, subject knowledge and exam technique through engaging, personalised lessons.

I tutor GCSE English Language and Literature, as well as A-Level English and History. My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual ability, goals and learning style. Whether a student is struggling to reach a pass grade, aiming to move from a Grade 6 to a Grade 8/9, or preparing for their A-Level examinations, I focus on creating a clear and realistic plan for improvement.

For English, I help students develop stronger essay writing, analysis, creative writing, comprehension and exam technique. I also provide structured support with key texts, quotations and assessment objectives. For History, I focus on building strong subject knowledge while teaching students how to construct convincing arguments and write effectively under timed exam conditions.

My teaching style is friendly, patient and encouraging, but also focused on achieving measurable progress. I break difficult topics into simple steps and use practice questions, quizzes, essay plans and regular feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not simply to help students achieve better grades, but to help them become more confident, independent learners.
