I'm a pianist working towards my LRSM performance diploma, so what I teach comes from real playing experience rather than just a textbook.
Lessons are one-to-one and built around you. We'll start by figuring out where you're at and what you actually want from piano, then go from there. Each lesson I like to mix things up a bit , some technique, a piece you're working on, and a little theory or ear training , so it never gets boring or repetitive.
I'm happy to teach pretty much anything, from the basics like reading music, hand position and rhythm, all the way up to ABRSM or Trinity grades and full pieces. Classical, pop, film music, whatever you're into . honestly you improve fastest when you're playing stuff you actually enjoy.
My teaching style is relaxed and patient. I break the tricky bits down into small steps so you leave each lesson feeling like you've got somewhere, instead of stuck on the same thing. Total beginners and nervous first-timers are really welcome . I'll make sure the foundations are solid before we build on them.
