My lessons can be formatted to suit your personal specific needs. Whether you want to learn a song session by session, or if you'd rather learn a specific subject of guitar such as theory, I can accommodate.
I will be taking notes for my own records each session so I can track growth, struggles, and competencies and structure my next session around that. My sessions will also not be incredibly time consuming and I may set some very light "homework" to improve certain skills or techniques.
I do not expect to be treated with any authority, as I am simply there to help and my lessons will be quite light-hearted and fun.
I have 6 years worth of experience in electric guitar and in those years, I have:
Studied music a-level, which includes theoretical analysis of classical, jazz, and musical theatre, composition and performance.
Studied music technology b-tec which includes recording, production, performing, and writing for media.
Completed 2 of my 3 years in a Music and Sound Design bachelor's degree in Manchester Metropolitan University which includes production, composition, performance, personal research, and sound design for film and video games.
I have composed and released music, played many open mics, played in bands, and provided my friends and colleagues with session work and studio time.
At grade 7 electric guitar, I am comfortable teaching people and I have a lot of patience for those who are learning and, although I am only 20 years old, I am quite knowledgable on music history, and different musical styles from across the world.
