My French lessons are designed to be structured, engaging, and fully tailored to the individual needs of each student, whether they are complete beginners or looking to strengthen existing skills for academic, professional, or personal goals. I place equal emphasis on building strong grammatical foundations and developing practical communication skills, ensuring that students are not only learning the language but also learning how to use it confidently in real-life contexts.
Each lesson typically integrates a balanced mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing exercises. Grammar is taught in a clear and logical manner, avoiding unnecessary complexity, while vocabulary is introduced in thematic and situational contexts to enhance retention and usability. I regularly incorporate conversational practice to help students become comfortable with pronunciation, fluency, and spontaneous expression. Where appropriate, I also include listening exercises using authentic French materials such as dialogues, short audio clips, and cultural references to strengthen comprehension skills.
My teaching approach is highly adaptive. I assess each student’s starting level and learning pace, and I continuously adjust lesson content to ensure consistent progress without overwhelming the learner. I also focus on building confidence, particularly for students who may initially feel hesitant about speaking. Constructive feedback is provided throughout, with emphasis on gradual improvement and clarity.
I hold Alliance Française A1 and A2 French qualifications and have academic experience in language learning and communication-based instruction. This background allows me to combine structured pedagogical methods with a flexible, student-centred approach.
Ultimately, my goal is to make French learning both effective and enjoyable. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and steadily progressing towards fluency and practical language competence.
