My teaching methodology is based on a combination of techniques and approaches that have proven to be highly successful in my own language learning journey, including spaced repetition, language immersion, and ditching traditional methodologies by being straight to the point and teaching you what is useful.
Spaced repetition is a technique that involves revisiting previously learned material at intervals that are carefully spaced out to maximize retention. By incorporating spaced repetition into my teaching, I help my students to retain the language structures, vocabulary, and grammar rules they have learned more effectively. This method has been shown to be particularly effective in language learning, as it allows students to build a solid foundation of knowledge that they can continue to build upon over time.
Language immersion is another key component of my teaching methodology. This approach involves surrounding students with the language they are learning as much as possible, through activities such as listening to music, watching TV shows or movies, or engaging in conversations with native speakers. By immersing my students in the language in this way, I help them to develop a more intuitive understanding of its grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.
I believe in ditching traditional methodologies and being straight to the point by teaching my students what is useful. Rather than focusing on rote memorization or irrelevant vocabulary words, I help my students to learn the Spanish they need to communicate effectively in real-life situations. This includes focusing on key vocabulary, common expressions, and real-life scenarios that students are likely to encounter.
