I am a first-year Economics and Finance student at the University of Manchester, offering friendly and supportive online maths tutoring for GCSE and A-level students. I achieved an 3 A* including in A-level Maths and a grade 9 in GCSE Maths, so I understand both the subject itself and the exam technique needed to do well.

My teaching style is clear, patient and flexible. I know that different students learn in different ways, so I adapt my methodology to suit the individual. Some students benefit from step-by-step explanations and building confidence slowly, while others prefer to focus on harder exam questions, revision and technique. I tailor lessons based on what each student needs most.

In lessons, I usually begin by identifying the areas a student finds difficult, then work through concepts carefully using clear explanations and examples before moving on to practice questions. I also use exam-style questions and past-paper practice where helpful, so students can apply what they have learned and improve their performance under exam conditions.

Because I completed these exams relatively recently, I have a strong understanding of the common areas students struggle with and the methods that help most. Alongside my academic background, I have also mentored Year 7 students, which helped me develop a supportive and encouraging approach.

My aim is to make maths feel more manageable, logical and less intimidating. Whether a student wants to build confidence, improve grades, prepare for exams or strengthen weaker topics, I try to create lessons that are productive, adaptable and genuinely helpful.
