Alannah Thorne

Hi I'm Alannah, I am 23 years old and currently doing a masters in film.

I have an advertising degree and have done work experience abroad. Work experience in New York and a post production company. I have also done freelance work.
I have won awards in Media and gold in the Digital Video Production for Skills Wales.


I can teach Film, Advertising and Media.
This is at secondary level to university level.


- I would like to meet students in person to assess their education, goals and struggles. I am very friendly and approachable.

- I can help visual learners.
(I am dyslexic and can help other dyslexic students. My preference would be to teach neurodivergent students as I can relate however, coping mechanism work for everyone.)

- Build confidence in the student. I personally believe this is the most important part.

- Help critical thinking. Depending on the course, a lot of essays in creative education.

- Strategise the perfect timetable for the student.

- Work on problems they seem to come across often and help problem solve together.

Overall I want my students to have more confidence with their abilities, excited for the future and passionate about what they do.
