I have spent over thirty-five years in education, specialising in KS2 and KS3. I served as Deputy Head of KS2 and Head of Inclusion, which gave me a deep understanding of how children learn differently — and why a one-size-fits-all approach fails so many of them.

For ten years, I ran a dedicated 11+ tuition centre in Kent, working directly with children preparing for the Kent Test. That experience taught me something crucial: the difference between a pass and a fail is rarely about intelligence. It's about whether the child's learning style is being met.

I also continue to teach targeted SEND students, which has sharpened my ability to identify gaps and adapt quickly. A child with additional needs doesn't need a watered-down curriculum — they need precise, structured instruction that plays to their strengths.

My teaching method is built around three principles:

Diagnostic first. I never start teaching until I know exactly where the gaps are. This saves time and prevents frustration.

Learning-style tailored. Some children need visual cues, others need verbal repetition, others need to write things down to remember them. I adjust the method to the child, not the other way around.

Fifteen-minute daily rhythm. Big, overwhelming study sessions don't work. Short, focused daily practice does. It builds momentum without burnout.

Whether your child is aiming for the 11+ or needs support with SATs, the system is the same: identify the gap, match the method, and practise consistently. That's what gets results.

So please don'ty hesitate to contact me.
