About My Lessons

I am a passionate, patient, and experienced educator with a strong academic and professional background in Biology and Medical Laboratory Science. I hold a Master’s degree in Biology and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, along with advanced doctoral-level studies in Biology. I also bring more than 20 years of professional experience in medical laboratory science and experience as a Special Education teacher.

What makes my teaching unique is my ability to make difficult subjects simple and understandable. I break complex lessons into clear, manageable steps and help students identify the most important ideas instead of feeling overwhelmed by too much information. I teach students how to summarize, organize, connect, and remember what they learn.

My lessons are personalized to each student’s level, learning style, and goals. A typical lesson may include reviewing previous material, explaining new concepts in simple language, working through examples together, practicing skills, and creating a short summary or study guide at the end.

I especially enjoy working with middle and high school students who need extra support, better study strategies, or greater confidence in challenging subjects.

My goal is not just to help students get better grades. I want them to develop the skills and confidence to understand difficult material, study independently, and become successful lifelong learners.
