Akhshaya Niranjan

Hi! I’m Akhshaya, and my passion for teaching has grown since secondary school. I’ve taught at two tutoring centres, where I gained experience supporting students with a wide range of abilities, learning styles, and learning difficulties. I’m passionate about making tricky concepts feel simple and helping students build confidence step by step. My academic background combines strong analytical skills with a passion for STEM education. I completed my A-Levels in Maths, Physics, and Biology at Beal High School and I have experience applying these subjects through both university coursework and tutoring. Additionally, I have completed my diploma in Carnatic Music.

When conducting my trial sessions, I start off with a level test which the student and I can work together if they don't feel independently comfortable in completing the test. After analysing the test, I decide what structure they should learn in and what topics are going to be our focus. Normal sessions will start off with correcting homework and moving onto a different section or topic. Homework completion is a must and they will have two warnings before it is reported to parents. I ensure to make the student enjoy the subject and understand it thoroughly, so lots of questioning is encouraged.
