My lessons are engaging, interactive and tailored to your individual needs. I believe that the best learning happens when students understand concepts rather than simply memorising content, so I focus on building confidence, developing critical thinking skills and making complex ideas accessible and relevant.
For Sociology, I help students understand key theories, perspectives and contemporary issues while developing the analytical and evaluative skills needed for high-level exam responses. We explore real-world examples, debates and case studies to bring the subject to life and deepen understanding.
For Psychology, I support students in understanding psychological theories, research methods and studies, whilst helping them make connections between topics and apply their knowledge effectively. I encourage students to think critically about evidence and develop strong examination technique.
Lessons are typically a mixture of teaching, discussion, exam practice and targeted feedback. I adapt my approach depending on whether a student needs support with subject knowledge, essay writing, revision strategies, exam preparation or confidence building.
I have a degree in Psychology, a PGCE and extensive experience working with young people in educational settings. As a teacher, senior leader and wellbeing practitioner, I understand that every student learns differently. My aim is not only to help you achieve strong academic outcomes but also to help you become more confident, independent and effective as a learner.
I genuinely love these subjects and hope that you will too!
