About me

I am a highly experienced tutor in German and English with lots of ideas to help people to learn languages.

As well as course books, I select articles, audio, video, and all kinds of interesting materials for my students. I write written and spoken exercises, multilingual material with audio. I have built up several course books' worth of material.

My courses are always varied, lively, and tailored to the interests and language level of the students I work with. The time always goes quickly.

I have a huge amount of experience. I've taught adult students one-to-one and in groups, including employees of big companies (Siemens, Westcon-Comstor, Jane Street, and more). I've taught English in the Middle East, Hong Kong, and Germany, as well as in colleges and schools in the UK.

As a native English speaker, I'm one of only a small number of people who have reached a near-native level in German. Due to my language teaching background, I speak both languages very clearly and with a neutral accent. I also know French to a good level. If you're a German or French speaker, I can really help you learn English.

I have lots of ideas about how you can learn languages faster, more effectively, and more enjoyably.

I'm very flexible, I find it very interesting to meet new people, and I really enjoy teaching online.
