If you're reading this you're probably dreading when you have to do your exams (or are just a parent and this is all for nothing) and are just sick and tired of all the nagging from teachers and parents telling you to revise, focus on your studies, do homework, the lot (and believe you me I can remember the time like the back of my hand!). That's why my lessons will be fun and engaging, ensuring that the knowledge sticks in your mind and so that in school you'll be 1 step ahead of everyone else.
My lessons will follow a fixed structure and will include time for retrieval questions at the start, learning the content either for revision or new content to get ahead of your class, practice questions from exam papers to get a sense of what the GCSEs are expecting. This will ensure that you have sufficient practice with real questions and so that when you're in that exam hall it will all feel natural to you and the pressure many students face will be virtually non-existent for you.
That quadratic formula that no matter how many times the teacher repeated cannot get stuck in your head or the circle theorems that just look like abstract art art if it was black and white will seem like the easiest thing ever once you consolidate the understanding with enough repetition. After all, my science teacher's first thing he said was that 'Learning happens when you think hard', and he even made us write it on the front of our books!
