In my experience of tutoring younger students throughout my own GCSE journey the past 4 years, I have found that it is more than likely that students prefer one to one tutoring/learning rather than large groups.I know this because I myself felt the same way.Ive been told and given feedback that my tutoring methods are brilliant because I tailor my feedback and teaching to be supportive and encouraging, not just constructive.GCSE's can be the hardest time of your educational life if you don't have support or aid in any way, whether its in the form of tutoring or learning in general.My feedback is well received because I used to be one of those students that needed 1 to 1 aid instead of a class of 30 children.I can help students learn, and develop from mistakes instead of just seeing it as failure, and building their educational qualities to be something they never imagined before taking tutoring.Despite only being at the A-Level stage of education myself, Ive been known to have positive tutoring experiences with students of various educational qualities, whether its students aiming for a simple Grade 4 pass, or students aiming for Grades 8's and 9s.I can clearly understand facial expressions and body language, so I can build on different emotions and help the students understand where they've gone wrong, and help them learn from it.One to one tutoring is key because it gives the students a chance to voice their issues directly, instead of feeling 'embarrassed' for saying It infront of classmates.
