Adele Clifford

I have experience teaching university level students, adults and currently work as a Learning Support Assistant in an independent school with secondary school students. I have taught both French and English and enjoy using creative techniques to make language learning more fun. I have plenty of resources from my time at University learning French, and from teaching English whilst living in France. I am happy to teach at any level and would like to work closely to the goals of the learner in mind.

For example, for GCSE or A-level learning, I would familiarise myself with your curriculum and exam board in order to teach the exact vocabulary, grammar and topics that you need to get your desired grade.

Or, if you are looking to learn French/English for conversation, tourism or business I would take the time to familiarise myself with your needs and goals. I would make a learning plan for each week or session, so we can work towards your personal targets.

A bit about me - I am a Learning Support Assistant with a background in languages, administration and education. I have lived in France on two occasions - in as an au pair, and 2020-21whilst studying at the University of La Reunion. I studied Bachelors French and Film Studies from at Queen Mary University of London, before moving back up to my hometown Newcastle where I have lived for the last three year.

I believe language learning is a journey and I will motivate you along the way. I look forward to hearing from you!
