My lessons are focused, structured, and tailored to the specific needs of each student. I have previously tutored freelance and have found that the most effective teaching comes from adapting explanations to how a student thinks, rather than following a rigid template.
I hold a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a PPE degree from McGill University. This academic background means I am very comfortable with abstract concepts, quantitative reasoning, and explaining complex ideas clearly. I tutor subjects where understanding and intuition matter as much as technique, and I place particular emphasis on building strong foundations rather than short-term memorisation.
In practice, lessons usually follow a simple structure: we identify what the student finds difficult, clarify the underlying concepts step by step, and then apply them through worked examples or targeted exercises. I encourage students to explain their reasoning out loud, as this quickly reveals gaps in understanding and builds confidence. I am patient, but I do not shy away from challenging students when appropriate.
I have experience working with students at different levels and adapt both pace and depth accordingly. For exam-focused students, I pay close attention to syllabus requirements and typical question styles. For university-level or adult learners, I focus more on intuition, problem-solving, and linking theory to real-world applications.
Lessons can be delivered online or in person in London. My aim is always the same: clear explanations, efficient use of time, and measurable progress over successive sessions.
