I am an enthusiastic and patient primary school maths tutor with a passion for helping young learners build confidence and a strong foundation in mathematics. My lessons are designed to be engaging, fun, and tailored to each child’s individual needs, ensuring they not only understand core concepts but genuinely enjoy learning.

I use a variety of teaching methods to suit different learning styles. Whether a child is a visual learner who benefits from diagrams and colourful resources, or a handson learner who needs practical activities, I adapt my lessons accordingly. I use everyday examples like shopping, cooking, and games to make maths easy accessible.

My lessons cover all areas of the primary maths curriculum, including: number and place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions and decimals, measurement, geometry, and problem-solving. I closely follow the national curriculum and can work alongside school topics or focus on areas where a child needs extra support.

Many children struggle with maths anxiety. I create a calm, encouraging environment where mistakes are seen as part of learning. I celebrate small wins to keep motivation high and progress consistent.

I have extensive experience working with primary-aged children, helping pupils prepare for examinations and supporting those who need additional reinforcement of foundational skills.
